Celiac Home Test Kits

I have been doing some research lately about diagnosing celiac disease and came across a plethora of information. It seems that every physician or website has conflicting information. I have found that the medical community says that it is extremely difficult and cumbersome to diagnose Celiac Disease. On the other hand, I have found a number of websites selling home test kits that are easy to use and accurate in diagnosing this disease. Like you I am a bit apprehensive about these tests. They sell a lot of things on the web and T.V. that you know are far fetched and claim results that you clearly know have no scientific backing. But then again, I'm sure the home pregnancy test was greeted with equal skepticism. I'm here to tell you that those were highly accurate in confirming all four of my pregnancies. New technology is never greeted with open arms. It takes real life testing and use of these items to show the proof.

We are not telling anyone to run out and by any of these tests because we are not licensed physicians. We are just suffers of gluten in our diet like many of you. I am merely reporting things that may be useful to our readers. If anyone knows or has first hand experience with these products, feel free to post a comment and share it with us. Home Biocard Celiac Test

 The Biocard™ Celiac Test measures the presence of antibodies in the blood. The existence of certain antibodies in the blood is an indicator that the body is having an immune system response to the presence of a specific foreign body. In the case of Celiac disease, this foreign body is gluten.

The test is positive if you have two red lines on the test card. One red line appears in the control field to let you know that you have done the test properly. The second red line appears if your system is having an immune response to gluten. The positive response indicates that the individual being tested has a high probability of being a Celiac. It is recommended that a positive diagnosis using the Biocard™ Celiac Test be confirmed by a medical doctor.
